3D Mappings

During the official opening of the newly built WU Campus in Vienna, the three-dimensional visuals were imposingly played on the facade of the Zaha Hadid building ten minutes long. The concept of the biggest real estate opening of 2013 in the EU was developed and further executed in close collaboration with the Vienna University of Economics and Business. Particular focus was laid on the visualisation of the thought process of the university institution. Special challenge of this production were the complicated glass fronts and the extraordinary architectural forms. Art Director was Dirk Rauscher.

As part of the 33rd Gewista Poster Party, Media Apparat staged an elaborated 3D projection mapping in arcade courtyard of the Vienna town hall. The focus of the mapping-show laid on the impressive audiovisual effects which seemingly transformed and reconstructed the building. Historical worlds as well as Gewista advertising were represented in a breathtaking way and combined with the architectural elements of the building.

„IIIIII“ is a kickoff in a new dimension of spatial perception. Both the layout of the installation as well as the projected content do not only give the space an organic impression but also nearly bring it to life. At the same time, the industrial-technical materials nearly disappear and allow visitors experience a special type of spatial perception. Through a small opening one reaches the interior of the installation and immerses oneself in the inner life of the seemingly living structure.
