Immersive Experience

Johann Strauss - New Dimensions exhibition

A New Era of Immersive Exhibitions

Johann Strauss – New Dimensions is redefining what an immersive experience can be. This groundbreaking exhibition blends augmented reality, spatial audio, and cutting-edge technology to create a deeply personalized journey for every visitor. Depending on their position and line of sight, guests receive tailored content—an unprecedented innovation in exhibition design.

Media Apparat led the entire creative and strategic development of the museum, overseeing everything from the first pitch presentations to multiple concept and prototyping phases. Over the course of this process, a breathtaking 75-minute multimedia experience and narrative were meticulously designed. The agency also handled branding, communication design, and the full-scale execution of both technical and architectural implementation.

Rediscover Strauss’ Masterpieces Through State-of-the-Art Technology

In collaboration with Europe’s leading sound design experts and the renowned Schönbrunn Palace Orchestra, Strauss’ works were meticulously deconstructed and reimagined with digital technology to form an immersive three-dimensional soundscape. One of the exhibition’s standout features is one of Europe’s largest 3D mappings: over 400 m² of stunning projections transform the space into an awe-inspiring visual universe, bringing Strauss’ life and music to life in a fully multisensory experience.

Where History Meets Emotion

Unlike traditional exhibitions, New Dimensions weaves gripping storytelling with historical depth. A carefully curated audio journey leads visitors through Strauss’ life, offering profound insights supported by AI-deciphered original documents—blending technology with history in a way never seen before.

Bridging the Past and the Future

The exhibition reintroduces Johann Strauss as the first true "pop star" of history. Through bold typography, dynamic animations, and meticulously reconstructed settings, the splendor of 19th-century Viennese ball culture is reimagined for audiences of all generations.

Experience the perfect fusion of history and innovation—an unprecedented tribute to Johann Strauss.
